Hi
I will recommend you to take a backup before resetting the CS3.
You can reset it by restore the backup file called something with "leer" in the file name. Leer is the German word for Empty.
Best regards
Per

It is a good idea with any computer to create restore files. You can do this with a thumb drive or something like a Seagate removal drive. I occasionally will save to the internal storage of the CS3+ and to a thumb drive with the date of the save. That way if something goes wrong I can restore the computer with the file prior to a problem. Given what is best practice, you can restore your CS3 to the factory setting by clicking on "System" and "Restore" without specifying a file which I found to my surprise restores the CS3 to the factory settings. Fortunately I was able to do the same process to a saved file and save me rebuilding all my settings.

After a factory reset, would it be wise to first try a few new programming actions before using his backed up files? At least a simple track plan, a few turnouts, and events which can easily be deleted. That way will he know if the trouble was his errors, or a fault with the unit?

Hi Per, I already did the reset. but now everything is in German and I don't understand anything. How do I make it readable in English.

Thank you, regards,

Carlos

I think you can go into the setup and change the language. You may want the CS3 book item #03093.

When you reset you restored the CS3 to the way it came out of the factory so you need to reset everything including the language. You have a lot of work ahead of you which is why it is a good idea to save a "restore" file someplace if things go to hell some time.
