Hi all , does anyone have advice/experience running ESU locomotives on Marklin track ? Particularly K-Track ? My layout is a mixture of K/C and I have had one bad experience with another manufacturer catching/derailing on K-Track points so I am now cautious with looking at other manufacturers. Thanks.

A friend of mine has run and esu BR194 on k track with no noticeable problems. It was very good running in comparison to other locos.

We have had issue with some roco locomotives catching on some uneven joins in track in the past.

ESU V 60 do have some problem by drive over K-tracks turnouts.
ESU new V 60 delivery Q1/2023 are upgraded.
They did fixed the problem.
The problem was pick up shoe was slightly slanted attachment at the bottom of the locomotive.

Hallo ,
So to be frank nowadays I am on my knees running ESU on carpet ( permanent Märklin layout was demolished/dismantled due to my sickness) and I have to report that on C track no issues noticed ( long C switches) My BR 218 , 200, 78 performed quite nicely!

With some early models there was a problem with the wheel spacing and ESU had issued a technical paper who to correct this.

In these days (I have experience with all the new ESU models) there is no problem at all on all Märklin track systems.

They run excellent.

Regards
Costas
