I'm posting to lots of Spur 1 forums, so please excuse me if you've already seen this. I need 2 headlight lanterns for my spur 1 Märklin 5749 BR 38. The original part number from the 1980's was 47245, now 472450. I also need 2 lenses, part # 472190. I've had no luck after prolonged searching on ebay.de and spur 1 treff.de. I even tried ordering 2 lanterns for a more recently released dampflok. Not available from factory, says Marklin. Advice from stummis is to be patient and keep searching ebay. but no luck so far. Any ideas? BTW I did find one sort of similar article from Piko.de. The cost was a reasonable 9.95 euros but the shipping was 50 euros!

Hi Tom

I looked up your spares on a 2013 Marklin price list, they were not there.
This indicates the spares have not been available for a very long time.
The BR38 has had, many different catalogue numbers.
All that can be done is to find a part number for a later model if possible.
GI Marklin has very small production runs and the parts put aside is thus very small as well.
