HI all,

I recently acquired a 3043 Loco from a garage sale and it's missing a Pantograph spring.
According to the parts list the Pantograph assembly is p/n 215000 but no indication of the spring part number separately.
I can't seem to find any part number reference to the springs in searches Confused.
Any suggestions?

Perhaps from Sommerfeldt Don if Marklin doesn't have them.

215000 looks an awful lot like the ubiquitous 7218 for which springs can be found on Ebay Germany, for example

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284836342952?

I don't know if yours are silver or black.

If you are going to use live catenary it is worth trying to get the right thing, otherwise it doesn't matter too much. I say this because some springs that I have bought are just not strong enough to apply sufficient upward pressure to make a good contact but otherwise look OK.

Hi,

I ordered a 7218 from my local dealer, it appears to be a match. It was cheaper ($21 Cdn) than buying and importing the springs only,

Thanks!!!

Don

Hope you get a black one!

Older ones which are now out of production I think, were chrome.

I had ordered these chrome ones (sorry, not black) ,
still available at Marklin.de:

Märklin 765600 - Modelleisenbahn Zugfeder 2,0/ 8,5 (10 St)

https://www.maerklinshop.de/ersatzteile/33366/zugfeder-d2-0/8-5/10-stueck

they are really ok for me. And ok for catenary power for my old models.

If you can go to the website, you will see other part numbers on the bottom of the page...

Marklin_Zugfeder_765600.jpg

(I had ordered before on eBay some supposedly compatible ones without this part number and not Märklin, the good length, but not enough pressure for catenary power...)

Hope this helps.

Best Regards
Joël

You could actually consider replacing the original generic Maerklin pantographs with the more detailed ones (Sommerfeldt) from newer models of the SJ Rc class locomotive type
