I decided to snap up a 39462 BLS Re 465 in the new green livery. It will be my third Re 465 after the earlier 39606 and 37461 models. The 39606 was assigned to freight trains. The 37461 was running with a passenger consist (EWIV or EWI). I have the Re 485 and 486s assigned to ROLA (RAlpin) and container trains. My BLS Re 475 (Vectron) has also been delegated for container traffic.
I guess that the new addition will also see use with container traffic. I will have to look through my photo collection and websites to see what typical consists are being pulled by these loks.
When my Roco Akiem/BLSC/SBB/RAlpin 186 is delivered, it will likely free up some other BLS Loks for other ops.

Can anybody tell me if a BLS 465 is used to pull any tank trains or other unit trains other than UKV/KLV?

Regards

After all of these Re 460/465 models, you would think that Maerklin would deliver a sound package with more accurate sounds than they did with the first OEM ESU models.
The model still has pretty much the same sounds as the Re 4/4II and other Swiss models, when it should have a more typical modern locomotive sound, like other Thyristor models.
It might not have the distinctive tones of the Siemens Taurus, but should have that typical whine of that type of locomotive.
