I'm wanting to put a consists together for my era 2 class 42 (39047) hauling some tanks, troop carriers, AA guns, or others (you get the idea). Would the heavy duty flat car #4866 or 4867 be appropriate? Thanks.

I have put together a WW2 consists just like yours. I first got a 4866. Then I got the other flat cars from Artitec. They have a nice collection of them. I also bought the tanks, troop carrier...etc from them. Don't forget to get the Transport Chains, 387.300 for the tanks.

Here is a picture of what I have so far. I have two more flat cars waiting for two King Tigers. They are not easy to find or too expensive. I also have an 88 Flak Gun. All the flat cars are Artitec Ssyms 46 and one Marklin 4866. I got the 39044 instead of the 39047 to save some money. They are the same class except the paint. I plan to order some decals from Peddinghaus to make it looks like a military locomotive.
