Hi,

I recently acquired this loco and the coupling sockets need replacement. They are item number 35 on the parts drawing. The part number E274-670 is not available from m, does anybody know of an alternative part that would fit and work?

Hello,

If you google or ebay.de with the following keywords:

märklin E274670

you will find some. For example:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/253933907981

https://www.mke.de/artik...ngsaufnahme_e274670.html

There are several more and I have no idea how reliable those sellers are.

Regards,
Miguel

Thanks Miguel

Shipping from Europe to Canada for such a small package is very costly and not worth it. However I may have found some in the US and I'm working with a friend to get around the stores unwillingness to ship internationally..
Cheers!
Best Regards,
Don

I have a br 216 that one cracked around the hole for the mount, so I used Welbond contact cement and it has held up for decades. It bonds to the pliable plastic (Delron).

Thanks, but in my case the tiny arms for centering the coupling have broken off with age/brittle.
Best Regards,
Don
