In preparation for my long term plan of using a CS3 with my layout:

Is it possible to attach an arduino to do some of the work done by S88.

If so how, and what connectors/other hardware would be necessary?

I had a look at the french site and tried translating it online, but it is such hard work to make accurate sense of some parts.

I was hoping that some english speaker would have used an Arduino with a Märklin central station.

However thanks for the interest in my post :-)

Hi,

The Arduino can absolutely work as an S-88 interface. But, do you have the CS3 with the S-88 connector? If so, take a look at Rudy’s website how to use and program the Arduino.
