Hello,
If I didn't set CV 52 correctly, can it damage the decoder?
After years of using 60965 decoder, suddenly it malfunction. Don't know what happen, make investigation but no clue. And product already discontinued also...
Regards Sony

Regards Sony CV 52 is for the motor to adjust correct value about motor type. I am not really sure what you mean about didn´t set CV 52. Did you bought ready digital locomotive or did you bought decoder and install decoder in the locomotive? |

Hi Sony CV 52 is key to define the motor type (see page 38 of the linked document -60945 User's manual) 60945_betrieb.pdf (1,716kb) downloaded 27 time(s).In short factory default is 3 (for the old 5 pole HochLeistungMotor), 4 for bell-shaped rotor (Ironless), 5 or 6 for newer CAN motors Unlike the newer mLD3 / mSD3 generation it does not have (I think) a program to detect the best parameters for themotor you use.
