Greetings from Norway.
Newbie in this forum.
I have three startset in Z; 8185, 81860 and 81870. Now I’m planning to go digital using Velmo decoders.
I have got hold of the Märklin mobile station 60657 and the digital connector box 60116. But, the connector box is 19V, and Z uses 12V.
Is it possible to use the 60657 to run the locos, and what do I use to power it all?

OneGauge Marklin and MTH, ESU ECoS 2.1 on LGB tracks. MTH 3-rail 0-gauge, DCS on GarGraves tracks. Z: Rokuhan tracks, analog or DCC+TC Gold. |

Not that it is necessary but to me the RRampMeter by DCC Specialist was good to have. It can measure the true DCC voltage. It showed that it was my CS1 Reloaded that was acting up and not the DSR. Now I can set the track DCC voltage more precisely than just with the knob on the DSR. I am using the TrainController PC program and calibrate the train speeds. If the track voltage is different from the calibration the trains won’t run as expected. Yes, Z-scale can be expensive. |
