Hello Everyone, I have this beautiful loco Märklin 34551, I change the decoder few years ago with mfx decoder from the old 6096x series. Before any decoder changes, I usually take picture of the old decoder wiring connection, but unfortunately, the picture was deleted accidentally. Now I want to use this old decoder again, but I don't know the solder pads connection since the picture is gone. Could anyone please help me take picture of your 34551 decoder wiring connection? Or perhaps help me on identifying which solder pads goes to motor, to pickup shoe, and etc? Many thanks for the help. Best regards Sony Edited by user 06 March 2022 05:56:41(UTC)

Hi Sony, Here is my old Delta decoder from a Br 81, looks newer decoder version than yours. These wiring colors and position might be the same, ie the top wire looks to be ground ( brown) on yours too,.. Brown - ground Red - slider Black - motor brushplate Dark blue and light blue - coil Yellow - rear light Grey - front light Perhaps someone can confirm these. Hope this helps, |

Have a look at this: Marklin 205956 Faulhaber Decoder. This decoder controls brushless DC motors (Faulhaber system). The delta address range is available for addressing. This decoder was installed by Märklin in the 34550 and 37550 locomotives. An additional switchable output (weak red cable) controls a smoke generator or similar. Tender light is switched directly via the two sockets. |
