Brawas new BR 01 weighs about 600 grams which are more than Märklins. Train magazine did tested and verified excellent top quality model.

If boiler 500 grcand tender only 100 gr it would ve a terrible distribution of the weight

At least there is an era 2 version. The best thing about Brawa is that there are always Era II offerings.BigGrin

No!
Why are you thinking so?
The boiler weigh about 350 and the tender 260.

BR 44 DRG era II with a 2'2 T32 tender - probably my favourite 2022 new item.

An era II BR 44 in standard black livery has long been missing. Märklin produced a DRG version years before - but in photographic grey (Fotoanstrich). In this livery, the loco never saw any service. As well as Roco did never offer a standard prewar version of this model for AC.

I also like the re-edition of these VT 66.9 railcars. They ran on many branch lines in our region, from the early the 1930s until the mid-1950s.

Regards,
Florian

There is a metal piece inside of the tender too.
If you visit Brawas homepage and download the manual of the loco, you will see and understand.

Quite a few locomotives here for eraIIIa modellers.

Finally someone has released a eraIIIa BR01 with witte deflectors! Been waiting a long time for this. It's going to be an expensive year:

40959 BR 01
40593 BR 98.10
44443 VT 66.9

There is also a US Army railcar but thats a bit early for me. Also some new Prussian D-zug wagons.

I think the BR 44 DRG #70039 will be on my wish list. I see it won't be ready for delivery till 4th qtr 2023. Which if like the BR 01 (about 18mths + past it's original due date)I got recently, more like 4th qtr 2024-5.
On the BR 01 #40903, the only fault is that although it is tender driven, they could of put a rubber tyre on one of the main driving wheels. They don't start turning until you have a bit of speed. They work alright very slowly once you are moving.
