Nothing like a close up shot of Z gauge to highlight irregularities even though one has used templates to get the track straight and level.

I checked the lens, doesn't appear to be stuffed!

Thank you for the above likes.

I have looked on the forum, but I can't find how to display a larger image than 694 pixels wide. I'm uploading from an Android phone.

Attached is left, centre and right images of the above photo, so a bit more detail. The photo was 4 photos manually stacked at different focal points to get better depth of field.

The station was built a couple of decades ago. The platform and awnings were custom made from white styrene sheet, painted with 150ml spray touch up cans, balustrade is custom etched stainless steel left over from paying jobs. Benches are repurposed balustrade.

I will be adding a few weeds etc along the track as it is a bit too tidy, even for Germany!

Hello Jonathan,

Marvellous photography for such a small gauge.
Well done.
Great depth of field.
Thanks for sharing.

Not being able to read CF cards at the moment. I have been fiddling around with my old Canon S90 pocket camera. The station cross section view was shot with the same camera. I had a more recent Canon GX9 but killed it.

Anyway the advantage of the old S90 is the tiny sensor for good depth of field. It also saves raw files. So with good light, lowest ISO, stacking a few photos to reduce noise from the tiny sensor (always stack 100, 50, 33, 25, 20, 17%..... transparency etc, not all equal percentages), raw processing, editing sharpness in LAB L channel, it is surprising what one can squeeze out of an image.

Crop of stairwell, including dust!

If one lines up a torch there is a tunnel just enough not to see the end, and some second rate cement rendering on the stairwell wall!
