News 2022: https://bahnorama.ch/dat...uheiten_2022_Spur_H0.pdf

The Ae 6/6 "Canton Fribourg" in red and "Oerlikon (City)" in green are interesting.

The Re 4/4I TEE should be a hit for those who missed out on the Maerklin/Trix model.
I would have preferred if they would have made one of the locomotives used primarily for the Rheingold rather than for the Bavaria.

The SBB EWI Papagei (Peacock) livery should be nice, but I don't know if I need a pair. I also don't know how Mickey Mouse got into it.
The BLS Set of a former SBB BDt NPZ and EWI is interesting. I would hope that this would include an ex-SBB EWI AB (ex-B) as was commonly called the "Sahlenweidli". If not, I can always model this consist:

It will be interesting to see what else is announced by Arwico in their 2022 information.

Wow, so many! Some updated classics and new ones. I saw sun shades on a few Loc's., and steel coils for their sliding hood cars, something Roco doesn't include.

I managed to make it onto Santa's Nice list this year and he left me a Piko E 32. This is a new engine for Piko in 2021. It is also my first Piko engine. I am very impressed. Detail, weight and running characteristics are all excellent. I was also impressed at the value as Santa let me know that he had found it for 265 CAD$ (analogue), which is impressive in this day and age.

Nice selection! I'm really impressed with how they have expanded their range the past few years.

I'm keen to get an Rbe set and intermediate cars in the NPZ livery, which I think is already out. I just need to save my pennies as they aren't cheap. Also an Ae 4/7.

I was hoping for an Re 4/4I in green with the TEE nose emblem. Marklin only made it with the set, and the HAG I never come across. (I've also been told the HAG one is merely 2 signs in the box the owner needs to glue on the loco themselves.

Are the Piko passenger cars (EW1) 1:93 or 1:87 length?

Regarding the Piko models, the EWI are 272mm buffer to buffer, which is exact 1:87 scale.

The Hag Re 4/4I in green with the TEE symbol exists as a standalone model. The TEE Symbol was available as a part. The new item number was 22012-31 (AC). The original Hag number was 248 AC and 249 DC.
http://www.roundhouse.ch...248-Re-44-TEE-Serie2.jpg

Roundhouse.ch lists several versions of the 248 as in stock (10046/10047/10048) for CHF 545.-

Lima had a model around 2000-2002: 208486AC: https://www.ebay.de/itm/224620050487?

As far as the Maerklin version, I noted a solo locomotive on eBay the other day:

I'd also mention the SNCB Type 97 2-8-2T (Ep.III) which is listed with sound as #50660 and silent as #50658. Due mid-year, apparently.
I don't presently have any loks by PIKO, but over the last 18 months I have somehow (!) acquired three steamers and a diesel railcar in Belgian modes. This would fit right in with them, providing some variety from my mainly native Prussian stock, and give me a legit reason to try a new manufacturer...

I recently purchased 2 Piko cars (SNCF and MAV) for era VI.

I like their quality, paintwork, value and presentation, but find generally with Piko that I have to be careful when coupled in consist with my Märklin trains.
The kinematic/dynamic coupling does not seem as flexible as the Märklin ones and the car derails at certain sections.
So I generally leave it at the end of the train and the problem is solved.

The other thing is the SNCF Hobby coach model #59600 at 30.5cm is just too long for my layout.
It is probably true 1:87.
So I onsold it.
