Dear forum members,
I want to do an SBB Ae610 locomotive's lights to change as described below with an mSD3 decoder. (By the way witn an ESU decoder is relatively easy).
I have connected the cab 1 two white lights as Front light, the cab 2 two white lights as Rear light, the cab 1 single white light as output 1, the cab 2 single white light as output 2, the cab 1 single red light as output 3 and the cab 2 single red light as output 4.
So now I want to make then light as follow:
When F0(f) on = FL + OUT1 + OUT2
when F0(r) on = RL + OUT2 + OUT1
when F0(f) on and F8 on = FL + OUT1 + OUT4
when F0(r) on and F8 on = Rl + OUT2 + OUT3
Furthermore I want when F5 on then all cab 2 lights OFF and when F7 on then all cab 1 lights OFF

Is it possible and how?
Thank you in advance.
Anthony

Hi Antony
You got right the part where 2 whites on each side are powered by the forward light (Grey wire) and the rear light (Yellow wire) (F0)
To have the remaining side lights you may:
- use the AUX1 (to drive BOTH the front and rear remaining lights) (brown/red wire)
- map your loco functions (e.g. using a CS3) so that function 0 drives the light output F0 and AUX1. Doing this makes the Swiss light change with one button and no external circuits (diodes, etc)

Color cables are Märklin color codes. All returns by orange wire (common +). Don't forget to insert a resistor (1 to 3.3 kOhm) if you use LEDs
I hope this helps
Jean
