Good afternoon fellow Marklin enthusiasts,

Once again I am looking for your assistance. I recently acquired a Viesseamn Plasser and Theurer tamping machine cat. no. 26099. When I try to run it using my Marklin CS2 it will not work. I can add it manually to my list of locos. My CS2 will recognise the decoder number and I can change the decoder number using the CS2 but I cannot control the item or any of its functions. I can control it and all of its functions using my Intellibox. Would anyone know why my CS2 will not control this item? The decoder is multiprotocol, the instructions give details on how to programme the unit using Marklin 6021 but no reference is made to CS2.

Looking forward to your replies,

John

I may be way off base here, but could it be something as simple as not selecting the correct Protocol when you are registering it? I assume it is DCC and the CS2 should be set up for this loco to DCC.

Thank you for your reply,
The CS2 will register the loco in DCC mode but will not allow the loc to be driven or to operate any of the functions.

Problem solved. A reset of CS2 restored full control of the locomotive.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply.
