Yeehar, lets hope it works as advertised, including S88 feedback. I would think M will need to get a move on with regards to the 60172, as they would not want ESU out there with their MFX compatible booster stealing market share.

I don't know for sure, but to use the newly announced ESU booster with the CS, the CS needs the update. I presume Märklin will not update the boosterfunction (software in CS to support the booster) to have it working with a competitors booster, thus probably the ESU and Märklin booster will need the same CS software. In that case it would be logical that the update for CS is needed. (Maybe the booster will work, but in that case probably only one way communication until the update arrives) But, correct me if I'm wrong on this, since I'm not completely sure and it is just logical reasoning that I'm trying to do. |

I asked Dr. Tom Catherall about CS updates today and he said updates have been made, they still working on a way to distribute them via the internet. For now the only way to get updates is via CD from the digital developement department and they are not available to general public. The spat with ESU has caused some major development issues. Ira |
