Dear All.
After many years of storage my CS2 was taken out, online update and putted into action.
Thereafter, I motorized and digitalized my switches with decoder 74462.
At the begining I assign a code to each of the decoders as stated in the owners manual. However, some of them, either single turnouts and double slip switches were not recognized.
In some cases the switches appear in the keyboard section but I can not control/action them.
I have reviewed all connections (i.e. yellow, red and brown cables at right positions on the track), but still they do not operate.
My last try was to assign an off position and let the CS2 under MFX mode to recognize them. Not success all!
Can someone give advise on how to proceed?
Thanks in advance for your input.
Ronald

Hi Ronald
Yes the 74462 are also MFX and only when used in MFX mode can they be recognized. In other modes DCC or MM2 they cannot be recognized.
Also with previous versions of the switch decoder, no MFX was available.
So the method I use is:
- to assign an address and a protocol (MM2 or DCC) by checking the address is free and by programming the 10 switches (Mausklavier) accordingly WHILE POWER IS OFF
- to create a device (Switch or double slip) on the CS2 in the KEYBOARD tab at the appropriate address

- In the tab LAYOUT start editing and insert the device into your layout

- verify the good operation of the device

I hope what I say is still true because for some time I use a CS3 where the procedure is different
There, it is about click and drag
