I have made a scale 1 Y-switch / turnout.

It's based two Märklin R=1.02 m rails, cut into 3/4 angle/lengths.

I use it on my 2.1 m long shelf layout to have it partly double tracked. My Märklin 55681 "Crocodile" Ce 6/8 III is then able to switch track.
