Thanks Steven..
I really don't know why Marklin make such a hoo haa about new releases - it is not like you can buy them straight away anyway... I have only just picked up the items I ordered in January 2006 through my dealer... Given the incredible delay with the catalogue for 2007 - this the only information we will get down under this year.. |

My wish list:
37460: At last, a plain 460 in mfx with sound! MrsKelly will want this, plus the SBB Panorama car etc...
37037: the DSB Litra T 299 with the red and white striped smoke stack -- I'll have to get some Era II/III DSB passenger wagons!
That 39970 Powered Catenary Maintenance Rail Car is pretty cool too!

Sincerely, I expected something more, of Era I, II nothing new.
Interesting the the MegaStartpakung -29840-, with two steamers and the CS, for those of us who like steamers, and don´t have the CS. Is the CS interesting for a carpet layout?. Hummmmmmmmm, maybe next Christmas... |

...it is not like you can buy them straight away anyway... It's obvious why certain dealers want to make the information public long enough before the toy fair - where they have to place their orders. Quote:[size=1" face="Verdana" id="quote]quote:I have only just picked up the items I ordered in January 2006 through my dealer... were they delivered by "snail mail" or already covered with dust? Unlikely. Märklin knowingly releases so many items during the year; it would be more than surprising if such information doesn't reach even down under.

And Nev don't forget you can celebrate every ODI win this summer in the Cricket world cup. Even if each win is only worth a wagon on current form that should get you a lot of stuff. And if you win the Cup then that calls for something special! I have 2 countries that I follow and I expect little from them. One of them is Ireland, a cricketing minnow, but if they win a game I could celebrate with something big like the maintenance vehicle....though that's a real long shot.

You could opt for a second hand 37591 or 37593 for half the cost of a 39590 and as a bonus get it in a more healthy green color |

The trade-off is between the new full sound version, the unhealthy light green, the old proven 5-pole motors and the new small c-sines - I'm not yet convinced they're better. I'll stick to my 3759x. |
