Old Number for Marklin 43303, Cab Control Car

I have an old, Marklin, DB AG, type Bimdzf 269.2 cab control car, 2nd class with engineer's cab for push/pull operation.,

A current model is listed under number 43303. BUT, as mine is at least 20 years old and must have come with a 4 digit number. It is different from the 43303. I am sure that the internal electronics are different and there is a yellow Bicycle outline near the front door on both sides not shown on 43303.

What Marklin # is this? Or how do I find out? Is there a conversion rule?

don't bet on it, five digit numbers came in during the mid 1990s, so over 25 years ago.

My initial reaction was it would be a 4330 if it was a 4 digit number, but a google search for that produced nothing.

The 43300 is the same coach in blue/white with a bicycle.
The 43301 (2000/2001 publications) could match your description.

None of the other models through to 43309 match your description.

I don't think that model was available prior to the version with close coupling, so it received a 4330X number from the start:

43300 1997-1998 Bimdzf 51 80 80-95 813-6 Interregio (early 1990s)
43301 1998-2000 Bimdzf 51 80 80-95 851-6 Produkt (early/mid1990s)
43302 1998 Bimdzf269 61 80 80-95 857-3 Red/White (Set) (late 1990s)
43303 2001-2003 KK 61 80 80-95 859-9 Red/White (late 90s)
43304 2002 Bimdzf269 61 80 80-95 850-8 ICE (Set) (early 2000s)
43305 2003- Bimdzf269 61 80 80-95 854-0 ICE (early 2000s)

All models 1/100 with close coupling.

The pilot coaches were rebuilt from former DR (East German) Halberstadt coaches after the DB and DR merged to form DB AG in 1994.
The first ones went into service with Interregio trains. It was only a few years later when these coaches were adapted for use in Intercity trains and over the next few years, IR trains were either phased out, ceded to regional operations or reclassified as Intercities and most if not all the pilot coaches were transferred to Intercity operations.

43302 came out in 1998 and then 43303 in 2001, so both of those models are now over 20 years old.

The 43302 was part of a set with 3 other coaches to make an Intercity consist in the red/white livery of the late 1990s.
The 43303 had a bike logo on the side, as the coach was adapted to include a bike storage/multiuse compartment

As far as I know, all the models had the same LED lights with direction dependent (contact) change from yellow to red.
