I seem to increasingly find the above description in the Marklin website for items that have only been released a short while ago, The latest for me is the BR75.4 model number 39758 which although available from various dealers shows in the M website as "not produced anymore". Now then with a new CS3 and a few other bits and pieces recently arrived it would be currently "very dangerous" domestically to order another delivery. So does this description mean when the stock has gone the model is for ever finished or does it mean when they let the stuck container ship go from the Suez Canal it will be back on offer?

It means that marklin have sold out the production run of the 39758, there is no more to sell from the factory. This is the reality of all models except those in the 'Classic' range or some other specific models. Any model that is produced under the MHI moniker will only ever have the one production run though.

But this does not preclude it being produced in another variant in the future with a different road number and/or livery.

Generally it means the item is sold out at the factory so cannot be any more ordered from Marklin. You may find dealers with previously ordered stock, otherwise you are out of luck.

Your best bet is to either find a dealer who has what you want or hope Marklin issues a new model in the future that is similar to the first one but with variation - in your case a 39759.
