I am not in love with the « buzz » of the Marklin uncoupler, as any one tried a solution like above using servos?

I was basically wondering if it would work using the same set up for computer control that is use for turnouts and servos?

Anyone!!!!

Servos, of course, produce their own noises. I imagine a magnetically decoupled version would be ideal (well ideal is a decoder activated decoupler but that isn't happening), but running Kaydee couplings is problematic on Maerklin track due to the puko and the Kaydee coupler 'hook' that hangs down in the middle of the track.

The buzz may be mitigated (to an electromagnetic hum) if you use DC.

The vibration of the uncoupler can, in some cases , assist with separation of couplings

There is also the consideration of pre-uncoupler operating , if you use the feature, having some dependence on the design of uncoupler shape.

I am not sure I understand what you are referring to.
