Nice. Do you have a link for the original document you found and got the details from?

Nice!
I like how crisp the numbering looks. Very pro!

In the pile of stones in the engine-yard, on of them shows a "0" hectometer marking. Reading your article, I would think that, that had to be the type of stone with NO hectometer marking¿?

Yes, indeed, you are 100% correct. I initially made them with .0 and used one of them in the pile. I know I need to cover that errant marker over with another one.... when I have done that I had better update the picture too... or forever live in shame...

and thanks yes, I am very happy with how well the numbering came out!

Hi,

In era ii would these have been placed in a branch line station area too? If for example the distance marker would happen to fall where the platform was.

Thanks

Yes.

When it comes to stations, the rules state to place them 'as appropriate' as they recognized that platforms etc. would interfere with the usual placement.

I have spent a lot of time browsing images of them online, and in stations one can often find them between the tracks, or even at the 'back' of the platform (away from the track). At stations the direction towards the origin point is also generally also indicated by signage at the station so the side of the track they are placed is less important.

In my main station, which has 3 tracks in each direction, I am placing them in the space between the three tracks on both sides of the center track, that way if a train is parked in the middle track the train driver can still find a marker from either of the outer tracks.

84.0 - 84.9
85.0 - 85.9
86.0 - 86.9
87.0 - 87.9

You pick the set you want before adding to the shopping cart.

If you have to have a different range (E.g. modeling a specific station) we can look into a bespoke range.

Custom distances can now also be ordered...

and they are also now available in N scale: (also with custom option and position template)
