Hi,

I'm dabbling with 3D printing locomotive bodies and having had some success with the Rokuhan "Shorty" powered chassis I'm turning my attention to some matching coaches. However the unpowered "Shorty" chassis are nearly as expensive as the powered and I resent paying £15-20 for what amounts to two bogies/trucks.

I'd be glad of any suggestions for compatible bogies/trucks (i.e. with the "Rapido" style coupler) that are a little more economical.

All the best

Chris

Hello

This is a tuff one to say the least. I am not aware of an alternative, let alone an economical one.

I will keep my eyes out for something I could suggest, but have nothing to offer you now.

Have you already searched Shapeway? Maybe you could get some ideas to do it yourself.

Take good care.

Have you tried Micro-Trains? Their trucks are in $6-8 range.

Thanks for the suggestions - Microtrains look like a good bet, though I've not found any in the UK so far and I'm currently a bit apprehensive about buying internationally owing to current shipping problems into the UK.

Cheers

I likely don't really understand exactly what you are looking for, but what is this?

Hope you find what you need.

That is just the sort of thing I'm after - I just don't like the price! I'm afraid it's very hard to please a cheapskate!

Cheers

Have you tried "Mech Models"? They seem to have have Micro-Trains stuff (www.mech-models.com) but you may have to phone them as their website is not great.
