I hope that the link works: https://drive.google.com/file/d/...f-im9vBbEfKQD2KKrlO/view or as an alternative https://www.mostviertler-modellb...euheitenkatalog_2021.pdf

For Switzerland, the Ae 3/6 I is good news, because this is one of the most typical SBB locomotives, built in a large number (114 units) and in service for decades. I assume that Roco can make use of the development work done a long time ago by Fleischmann for their model.

Also of interest is the AE 8/8, perhaps I missed it but is that dual motor? The price seems awfully reasonable if so...

Lots of good Swiss stuff for era V.

The Ae 8/8 Has two motors but no sound, hence the lower cost. I like the Re 10/10.

I think the Ae 8/8 is DC/DCC only, but with two motors. I like the Re 10/10.

There is an AC version ;) At 360 Euro MSRP that is a steal...

Oops my post got saved before I was done. With sound it would be closer to 500 I'm sure. But it is a classic BLS loco

I was a little disappointed to see that the Re 10/10 will feature the Re 6/6 11672 "Balerna" which was already offered by Lima, Hag and Maerklin.
I like the idea of having a red Re 4/4III. Hopefully I can find a dealer willing to break up the set.

I was wondering whether the Ae 3/6I was going to be an updated version of the Fleischmann model. I will have to find out more about this one.

The Re 421 Zurich-Munich will be a tough call, as I am currently waiting for the Maerklin version to be delivered. Hopefully the Roco one will have a different lok number.

The model I have really been waiting for is the ELL Vectron with 4 pantographs. That is on my list for sure.

I may upgrade a few of my SBB Papagei EWII coaches.

I keep hoping that Roco will move to a universal mounting system for containers with each new car design, but they keep relying on their old system, which is not compatible.
This makes it very hard for somebody who wants a car, but does not necessarily want the containers it comes with.

That said, time to start figuring out the budget and wait for the Maerklin, LS Models and ACME New Items lists...

Enjoy

Mike C

Thanks Mike. I already have the Marklin "Balerna". I didn't notice that when I looked at the catalogue.

Quite a lot of Fleischmann molds done as re-runs. Not sure why they killed the Fleischmann HO brand if they are releasing the same old molds every year.
