Hi all,

I need to do a minor repair to a class 152 in Traffic Red. I am struggling to find a manufacturer who produces the paint, or is there another very close colour I can use? I am not looking to restore the model to pristine but make it look like local repairs.

Thanks
Adrian

Hataka A103 Traffic Red (RAL 3020) - you can get it in the UK from www.emodels.co.uk, £2.25 for 17ml - currently out of stock.

It seems that the Hataka paint is getting hard to source in the UK - I have just ordered a few jars from Poland via Ebay. An alternative may be AK-Interactive's "Blood Red" (AK11089) - their conversion chart suggests that this is the equivalent to RAL 3020.

Am hoping to change the road number on an E111 from Marklin (#3042). I'm told the semi-glossy blue paint is a RAL 5020. This is my first attempt at renumbering with decals and am looking for a US-domestic source for matching paint. Suggestions welcomed.

Thank you and happy New Year!

Sorry to be pedantic but there's no such thing as an E111. They've always been a BR111.

I believe the colour you are looking for is Green Blue or Ocean Blue. That colour can be made up with Humbrol paints as per the following chart.

I'm located in the U.S..

This is my first attempt at renumbering with decals and am looking for a United States domestic source for matching paint for covering the existing road number. Suggestions welcomed.

Why have you opened a new thread asking the same question you already asked in another thread?

Merging this thread back in with the original thread - please do not open multiple threads on the same topic.

I've already provided you with an answer of sorts.

Humbrol had a paint kit available for DB paint colours many years ago but it's not available now.

Maybe you could try an automotive paint supplier to see if they will mix up a RAL 5020 paint for you, if you're not wanting to mix the Humbrol formula I gave you. The automotive suppliers here are happy to mix up a test pot quantity of paint, maybe you can find someone who will do that.
