Hallo Everyone, I am looking for ESU Firmware update for ECoS 50200 color screen early 2011 production 3.4.0 version) I would like to upgrade to 3.7 version but I am unable to find it on ESU web page. Actually I managed to find German language version but not English. Is anyone willing to help me ? Or point me in right direction please. With Warm Regards, Märklineisenbahn

Hi, I believe there is only one version. You select the language within the system settings. Is there any reason you don’t want the latest version (4.28)?

Hi Peder, No , reason I am asking for 3.7 because I read on ESU web that it must be done in steps. One can’t go from 3.1 to 4.2 in one shot. My Best, Märklineisenbahn

Hello Märklineisenbahn, I’m not sure if you know, but you must first be a registered user of your ESU ECoS and then you will have the permission to access the updates. http://www.esu.eu/en/start/You are correct in saying that the updates need to be done in the order they were posted. Best regards, Michel

With Warm Regards, Märklineisenbahn The Software-Update can be downloaded on ESU's Website if you "register" yourself and use the ECOS Serial-Nr which you can find in your ECOS Central. ( https://www.esu.eu/en/myesu/register/ ) All Software-Updates from Version 3.7 to 4.2.8 can downloaded for registered users. Software-version 3.7.0 must be installed if you wish to Update to Software-version 4.0.0 or higher See This page for more Info : http://www.esu.eu/en/support/tips-tricks/ecos/firmware-400/ |

Hallo Gents, Thank you to all who took time to reply to my cry for help. ECoS 50200 update went fine , without a single glitch. It was slow process indeed. From 3.7.0. -4.0.0. -4.0.1. -4.2.5. -4.2.6. -4.2.7. and finally -4.2.8. But according to ESU it was mandatory to do upgrade in steps. With high speed connection it still took me almost 3 hours but it was worth it.Machine boots in a blink , a lot of new stuff...and will allow me to use iPad to control screen remotely. ( very crucial step was 4.0.0. which is 2 stage upgrade - like old one 3.0.0 was ) Ugh...long process but another happy camper here - Now I am ready and waiting patiently for my SBB Rolla ( Rollendelandstraße ) to arrive. ( In those strange days of Covid-19 it may be a good wait, well we will see ‘cause last time I waited over 47 days) My Bests, Märklineisenbahn

Hallo Again, Gentlemen, My ECoS update went well but now I am facing another issue. This time with Remote Control of ECoS. But to be quite frank I think it is completely computer related issue ‘cause I am using Apple product and message I am getting says “...Unsupported Plug-in ...” ( so Mac is not seeing my ECoS screen) Unfortunately I am not computer savvy guy so it seems to me that running JAVA on Mac calls for trouble already. I am asking are there any experienced computer gurus on forum willing to comment on this issue? Any advice or comment will be truly appreciated... Regards, Märklineisenbahn

Hello Märklineisenbahn, Unfortunately I can’t help you with the issues you are describing. BUT...... I am also a Apple user and the easiest way I found to control my ESU ECoS is by using the TouchCab app with my IPhone. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/touchcab/id306441868

Hello Märklineisenbahn Try using a VNC-Connection for your MAC : https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/download/viewer/ https://chrome.google.co...iopbgfabjmgeedhcmjenhblaUse the IP-Address your ECOS have to connect your "unit" to the ECOS. |
