Hello

Sorry if this has been covered already, but is anyone using this system to track their collection? Seems you can add your engines or rail cars to their database. There are provisions to annotate your date of purchase, value etc.

Here is a link to this, if you are not aware of it:

https://woodlandscenics..../view?app=modelinventory This is also available as a APP for your mobile devices.

Don't know if this is a good idea, but there are times when you may not recall models in your collection or what you paid for it etc. Don't know if security may be a concern on this site, but I have not heard about a compromise on it yet.

What are your thoughts?

Best wishes

Dwight

One of the members here has an online database aimed at Marklin collections. You may wish to investigate that.

Hello Thank you for that information.

I looked at the Wiki and it does not have very much information about the z scale models. I started entering z scale information and with some work, it will develop into what I believe will be, a very valuable information source.

Within the Wiki, you can keep track of your locomotives and running stock as well as may other z items. This perhaps could come in handy for insurance purposes. I has the ability to keep track of your service on your engines and has common part numbers for brushes etc. It was free to join.

I would encourage as much participation as possible to support this Wiki.
