Robert from RJFTrains sent an email about a pair of Vectron Models in the livery of the Greek National Railway. This was apparently a special order from Maerklin for somebody in Greece, but they did not or could not take delivery. I did not quite understand all of the details, but the message says that Maerklin is now making them available to dealers. check www.rjftrains.comI would love to attach the message, but my anti-virus was not happy with it. Hi The GREEK Vectron was made in 2017 for HMC the Märklin FlagShop in Athens Greece. Delivered in two versions with different road numbers in a quantity of 250 pieces each a total of 500. They are painted and named for the Greek Railway Company OSE. They have full sounds (Announcements from Greek Railway Stations). Are still available at http://www.marklin.gr/From the e-shop can be delivered worldwide. Regards Costas eg There is also a Märklin V60 OSE still available (only few left)

Oh... They would go nicely with my two Greek V60 locos.. A reasonable price too.. It's a pity that I can't get them from Greece to Australia, while this pandemic continues..

I think that you can get them from Robert at RJFTrains in USA and have them shipped to AUS from there.

Thanks, but I prefer to buy from my friends in Greece.. Their service was brilliant when I bought the V60s off them a few years ago and I see that they now have some nice tank cars available.. I can wait for the Postal Services to sort themselves out.. |

Have you built a layout with Greek scenery? That great 👍 |

I have a layout with almost no scenery.. There is an Australian Gum Tree in one corner, some fake trees in another corner and a marklin crane in the other corner.. This way I have theme days on my layout.. Swedish day is popular, as is Belgium/France day with the two Thalys (or should that be Thalii) running, then there is Swiss day with the Re460 theme.. Greek day is a little lonely as I only have two locos and no rolling stock.. Well, you get the idea - too many trains and a very small layout.. :) |
