Hello friends

I received the email below from Ms Stacy Cousins from Marklin Inc. USA:

Hello Märklin Digital Club member,

I would like to remind you, Saturday, June 20 from noon to 2:00 PM pacific time, the Märklin Digital Consultants will be hosting their first Zoom Q and A. If you have not met Rick and Curtis at a show, you will finally get to put a face to a name. They will be giving a brief overview of the Central Station 3, then they will answer your questions.

If you would like to submit questions in advance, please send them to me and I will forward them. This will give the guys a chance to research the best answer for you.

I will send a link and info on how to join the meeting this Friday so, watch your email!

Thanks for being a Digital Club member!
Stacy

Maybe some of you also received that digital newsletter from her. I'll update the info as soon as I receive it.

Cheers

Walter

Actually timezone-wise that's not too bad - 2.00pm Saturday on the West Coast of the US (which I guess is what they mean by "Pacific" time) is 7.00am on Sunday on the East Coast of Australia (which is also on the Pacific of course BigGrin ), so I could watch it over weet-bix and In NZ that's 9.00am on Sunday.

The meeting was great and covered many features of the CS3. It was recorded and should be on the Facebook site for those of you standing on your heads.

I think the link is free-for-all to see. Its not needed to be logged in. You could also use the anonymous mode of Google Chrome (even Tor browser) to avoid unwanted cookies and tracking.

Cheers,

Walter

Rick also advised the video will be posted to Youtube.

The video is already on Facebook, just click on the link above.

I know of people who have used FB purely for access to some of the Groups, but do not use any of the social aspects of it and if your privacy is locked down you can see plenty without 'being seen'.

The Groups portion alone is generally quite 'mature', especially for the types of groups or topics modellers etc would be interested in.

But for those that have never used FB, it's a bit of a learning curve. Having said that, there are still those who have no digital life whatsoever, no internet, no email, and they seem to get along just fine, but of course they also don't know what they're missing. BigGrin

There is a speaker icon in the bottom right of the fb screen - make sure that is on and also make sure the sound on your computer is on. It works for me.

I tried this but no sound. I tried some other FB page and it works, so my computer is properly set up.

You can try downloading the video to your computer with the link provided on the FB page, or eg with: https://www.getfvid.com/
if you still struggle with the file after you have downloaded it, you try playing it with VLC Player https://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Thanks for the help. I have iskysoft video converter which downloads facebook videos very well, and I didn't think of using it. It works well.

Until FB has another "accidental" release of users' data:
