Ran into a strange problem today that I have not had before. New 2271 slender turnout.

Hi Dale,

The gap to the moving point blade looks close to touching. Slide the rail with the insulation tape away from the point blade to increase the gap and remove the tape.

I have a similar issue with a C-track slim turnout.
I like your little trick, and I shall try the same solution.

You are absolutely right! Thanks!

I had not noticed that these rails could move. Previously, all my sender turnouts had the fixed frog, and this one is a bit different.
