Dear Friends.
May the new 60832 M83 Decoder be connected to an old 6021 with the Keyboard or are they available to work only with the CS3?
Best regards and a lot of wishes for the Motherday who are joining here too!!
Stefano

I am working for one year my CS2 with six 6083 and one 60832 without any problem,i run the six 6083 with 6021 and two keyboards for at least ten years. The two decoders produce the same work.I have never connected a 60832 with 6021 and keyboards but i think it will work, just my opinion.

Hi Stefano
The 60832 works from Motorola or DCC signals. So when it is set to Motorola, it works with a 6021 + Keyboard.
This comes from the Märklin product description but I have never tried (I use a CS2 although I have also a 6021 and a CS1) and my train is too far away to try it for you. Thanks Coronavirus.
Cheers
Jean

No, they are not only available to work with the CS 3. It is Maerklin!

Although members are critizing about many listed links (especially in German) here at marklin-users.net, Maerklin is offering at his homepage (only at the German versionBlink) technical informations about programming with a 6021.

https://www.maerklin.de/...echnische-informationen/

"Programmieren mit Control Unit 6021"

https://www.maerklin.de/..._m84_Signale_D-DK_lo.pdf

https://www.maerklin.de/...ogrammieren_mit_6021.pdf

The advantage of these papers are, they are not only available in German and English. You even can read them in Italien language.BigGrin

Hi
I am sorry to say I disagree there: I am using a few 60832 with a CS2 with access to all functions.
The use of a M83 60832 with a 6021 is possible in MM (Motorola), using the mini switches to program the address.
The full use of the unit (programming CVs, having outputs to blink, flash, etc may be harder but I am not sure it is impossible. Like you say It is Märklin which manages compatibility between 2 units separated by more than 25 years (the 6021 and the CS3).
Cheers
Jean

This was the original question.

The use of a M83 60832 with a 6021 is possible ...

For what do you disagree? Although you confirm a programming with a CU 6021 is possible?

I only set up 2 links to Maerklin documents telling you, how to program with a CU 6021 ("Programmieren mit Control Unit 6021"). Nothing else.

You disagree by that while you do not use by yourself a CU 6021, but a CS 2 instead?Confused

Hi Stefano
So yes you may use a 60832 with your 6021.
The rest is noise on the line
