Hi, I have an old 3005 lok in which I have installed a 60906 decoder and works perfect with my also old Intellibox I in DCC format

I am now testing it using a CS2 and the Control Station doesn't recognize the lok with the 60906 decoder. CV50 is 15, so, all the protocols should be active and the CS2 is level 4.2.9, so, up to date. I tried also to define it as DCC, but same bas result and looking for lost Mfx loks doesn't give any result either.

Looking at the user manual and the description of which functions can be used in the different Control Stations I saw that several are there, MS1, MS2 but only CS3, no columns for CS1 neither CS2.

Does this mean that this decoder is NOT supported by CS1/CS2?

Has anyone tested it with CS1/CS2?

Thanks for any help.

Javier

It is an mfx decoder and will work with the cs2. I have used them with a cs2 with no problem, so this may be another issue.

Try doing a factory reset on the decoder?

Cheers....

Mike, thanks.

I will try the factory reset in the decoder, because other Mfx loks I have are well recognized by the CS2.

Will come with results.

No way, :( I did factory reset to the decoder, put directly on the CS2 track, same bad result. No way to recognize it either Mfx or DCC (of course with CV1 (address) = 3).

On the other hand, I have several other loks with lokpilot V4M4 and their decoder is read with all its characteristics and they are recognized as Mfx (M4), but the 60906 is not, it is as if no lok were in the track :(

Of course if I put it again in my Intellibox it works.

Any other idea of help?

Edit: Additional test done with 60212 CS1. Same result: Not recognized. Message sent to Märklin Customer service regarding CS2.

regards.

It sounds like your decoder isn't functioning correctly. It should work with the cs2 no problem.

Good luck with Marklin on it, please keep us posted.

Cheers....

Yes, it seems that the decoder had some kind of default. I went to my dealer and after several test without success, now it DOESN'T work AT ALL :(

So, we will test now how the Märklin Warranty works.

Finger crossed….

Regards.
