I am wondering if this type of tank car would have run on the DB in the 50's.

Thanks...

I'm not sure in terms of the prototype, but an easy way to identify is to look at the wagons running number.

If it is a six digit number with no hyphen it is era3, if it has six digits followed by a hyphen and another digit/digits then it is the era4 computer numbering.

Cheers....

Thank you for that Mike.

What is a way for an English speaking fan to find out when different types of cars were put into use, etc? Or, even a site that has this info that I can translate?

Thanks,

-Richard

Hi Richard,

Best I could suggest is Marklins website, all the newer models normally have an era assigned to them on the website. After that I'm not sure, although there are people on this forum with good knowledge of a lot this stuff.

Cheers.....

Mike
