Saw in the YouTube videos Noch/Xtrain published yesterday I think, that a new GrassMaster 3 was out this year, and now looking at the specs I'm wondering as the voltages have dropped.

GrassMaster 2.0:_____Power: 9V battery Output: 20kV
GrassMaster 3.0: _____Power: 9V battery Output: 11kV
GrassMaster 3.0Pro:___Power 8x AA battery Output: 16kV

So the output stage is reduced from 20kV to 11/16kV.
Did experience show that 20kV really was more than was needed? I was under the impression that higher voltages produced (by their higher velocity when the grass shot out) better imbedding in the glue, and thus a more upright and consistent result. Is the lower voltage to get a more mixed result of grass directions to not have the manicured lawn effect I wonder.

I'm still strongly leaning toward (when I get to that stage of the build to need static grass) - of getting the RTS Greenkeeper in the higher voltages (35kV or 55kV) as I really like their changable glass containers that lets you switch grasses out with much less mess on the device. So I'm really wondering about Noch dropping to a lower voltage down toward the GrassMaster 1 levels again.
Toys of tin and wood rule!
