I have a full range 2015/2016 catalogue and there 5635 (67 cm) and 5636 (45 cm) exist. But I cannot find any such, or replacements, on Märklin's pages. And since the newest catalogue is not for download I am somewhat stuck.

Also, I did not find anything in the Märklin Product Catalog app.

Dear aclassifier,

In the new Catalogue 2019/2020 it suggests that the best catenary system for Gauge 1 is now the one you can find in Sommefeldt. Anyway you can find still the 5632 and 5633 Masts in Märklin Products.

Best regards

About the Sommerfeldt web page.

I followed the Stromabnehmer (pantograph) tab.

But I should have followed the Oberleitung (catenary) tab: https://www.sommerfeldt.de/de/oberleitung/spurweite-1/

Also, the dimensions etc. are at https://www.sommerfeldt.de/images/download/Spur1.pdf

Sorry about the fuzz!

Despite the fact that this seems to be mostly myself talking to myself, I guess that since this is a forum, there might be readers who don't have anything to comment, as such. What I mean to say is that the following may be of interest:

I have now got my hands dirty with catenary layout. Even only for 6 masts, and S'ish curve and a 2 meter shuttle track! There is a rather long story at a blog note, but starting at [1] won't hurt. I also made a conclusion there:

The conclusion is that with the Sommerfeldt masts and discontinued Märklin wires, it looks nice and works nicely! I am satisfied with my pragmatic layout.

However, it would have been nicer with the new, thinner Sommerfeldt wire, with deburring done at the fab - and they should also supply a 450 mm length.

This is probably too late for you as your original post was nearly a year ago! I have a large quantity of Märklin G1 catenary, both masts and wires, that I wish to dispose of, preferably as one lot. Almost all of it is unused and in original boxes. If you (or anyone else!) are interested please contact me for more details.
