Would any one have a document that explains/defines what each of the different icons mean for locomotive functions that are depicted on a central station?

The locomotive manual will tell you which function does what. The icons are mostly self explanatory, such as a loudspeaker for sounds and a light bulb for lights, but there may be more than one of these for each locomotive and the loco manual (as far as I know) is the only place you can find out what exactly is what.

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Thanks. The locomotives manual does indicate what the functions are but does not correlate to the icons on the CS unit. For the most part they are self explanatory, but for the ones that aren't I would love a chart that indicates what it the icon represents.

BTW @DV sent you the list from the CS 3 manual. In addition a link to the Maerklin database, where all symbols are published too.
