Hello,

Is it possible to convert Piko Taurus locomotive to Marklin 3 rail system?

https://www.piko-shop.de...me=detail&vw_id=9191

If yes, what would I need? Can I get some recommendations?

Thank you in advance,

This appears to be a complete set with a controller and track. Not sure why you would buy thiis for three rail. Maybe I am missing something...for me that is not unusual.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Hi

Don't know if you got reply's / information already on the topic...

I have a Piko Taurus (#57223 Kombiverkehr livery) that runs on my Marklin 3 rail track, altough this one was designed to be used on 3 rail, i do not see any reason a "normal" DC 2 rail Taurus could not be modified.
Obviously you will need to add the power pick up ski, a decoder and do some internal rewiring to make it happen, but that should not be a big deal....

I converted a Piko 2 rail DC Br189 to 3 rail. The best way to do this is to order the replacement AC trucks and slider from Piko. Usually, the DC trucks don't have a place to mount the slider. I used a Lokpilot for the decoder.
