Hi
Is it possible to change the default direction on the loco?
when I put on power and start the loco it starts to go backwards.
I dont want to turn the loco because of the my setup on tracks(track contact) ,I need that space on the stop section
I need to have the pick up shoe at the back

For the vast majority of Märklin locos this is driving in reverse.
It depends on the decoder whether you can reverse the standard direction.

Depending on the loco in some cases you can just un-solder the wire on the motor plate & reverse them. It is mostly a Blue & green wire but this can differ & may not be applicable to your loco. If you can identify it for us this forum will be happy to give you a simple solution. Just a note if it is an electric loco, one end will have a "1" & the other "2". One should be at the front for it to start in the direction of travel by default if wired correctly at the factory.

Often you can achieve this without soldering by simply reversing the permanent magnet, assuming the loco has a c90 "HLA" motor.
But then direction and lights will be out of sync.
If the decoder supports reversing the lights then it also supports reversing the direction in most cases.

Not true for Märklin: With 103, E 03, 118, E 18, 119, and E 19 it is usually cab 2 or H that leads in the default direction. There is at least one 103 that is an exception to this rule (typically Märklin) and in the default direction cab 1 with the motor will be at the front.

Hello Geir - this is very simple. Go into configuration look under root or motor (acc to new or old decoder) and find a little white circle named direction of travel or similar. Turn it black. Then you have it.

Easy to do on mfx but I did'nt figure out how to do it on a Delta decoder (MM).
The configuration window on CS3 looks different on delta but np,I can live with it.

The only way to change the default direction with a Delta decoder is to rewire the motor. You will also need to rewire the head lights to match.
