I can only seem to find them online through overseas dealers who want around $13 shipping for a $2.00 item. Where van I get them here in the US reasonably??

They are a pretty plain /standard parts.

I have repaired Märklin trains for many years, and did not replace many of these, but rather the gears attached to them (simply because the gears' bores were ovalized /enlarged causing imperfect/noisy mesh.

There could be a simpler solution.

But in any case I would try with RJFTrains or check with Scott at Helmut's Hobbies

Thank you for the McMaster site. But, I don't have the pin so I have no idea of its diameter, length or type. I only have the Marklin parts number which I'm sure they can't find. I reached out to a couple other possible sources and I'm waiting for a response.
