Hello,
I just bought a starter set, from Marklin
Marklin 29184 HO "Construction Site" Starter Set
Are the tracks compatible with other brands? Like PIKO / ROCO?
Thanks for the info

Hallo
The other (Roco Piko etc) tracks are for 2 rail
The Marklin are for 3 rail
So all tracks without center rail or pukes are not compatible

Markin is three rail. In the middle you will see the pick up (small studs) your slider on the loco gets power from these with the return on the two outside rails.
Both Roco and Piko do three rail locos but until you understand fully the Marklin system you might be better to stay with Marklin and branch out later.
Take your time and before buying a product which might not be suitable.
PS I presume you are talking about locos etc and not the actual track. |
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer. |

Great :) it is clear now, I did not notice the small studs on the middle of the track.
Thanks
Also, is there a software to design the layout for Marklin?

Also, is there a software to design the layout for Marklin? Hello! I use RR Track and they have Marklin track menus. Enjoy!
