Hi all on Australia's 4th day of spring, and its a scorcher all ready!! Looking through the 2017 catalog I saw the new item for kids(and their dads). It was the Building Block Car set 44736 complete with three ready to build brick kits. It doesn't say that it is, but I assume that this is compatible with that other Danish plastic brick company? I've looked in my spares box and may have a go at making my own"building brick" wagon to see how we go. I've already made a flat wagon out of an old Triang and some Mega blocks, now donated to my railway club for the kiddy layout.

Mike, I do believe that the 44734, 44736, 44737, and 44738 (Disco! car) all accept "The Danish Blocks". Here is a Stummi forum with some pictures re: the 44734 and the indication I get is that "The Danish Blocks" (Is this like having to say "The Scottish Play"? ) are fully compatible. And the Märklin site equates all 4 of these items. So, I am going out on a limb and "Yes"! https://www.stummiforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=127893 And you can get extra LightStax blocks here if you really want to light up your life: https://lightstax.com/ LightStax are used on the 44737 and 44738 cars. Remember, it is the sworn duty of every dad to thoroughly test every toy given to his son. Dads also must demonstrate and assist their son's in the proper use of that toy as well!

Oooohhhh well, that would be an infinite loop into which I stumbled along with "The Scottish Play"... Whisper Mode On: although I think it is M herself who refers to it as "compatible with the blocks of all well-known manufacturers" - perhaps since it is not an 'Official Licensed LEGO" product? Whisper Mode Off LEGO - LEGO! Märklin! Märklin! Whhheeeeeeeeee! Jimmy |

And if I ever figure out the algorithm that The Google uses, it might just warp my brain even more than it already is...but this just popped up (while looking for something else ), although it seems more geared to US prototypes, this particular issue has an article on the köf at LEGO... https://issuu.com/railbricks/docs/railbricks8 page 24-25, and this is Issue 8, so there are a few more out there. I had never seen this before, Maybe 'issu.com' just posted them? Oy! Some mighty talented brickers out there. And some good ideas for our Märklin Block layout. |
