Hi, Is anyone out there running a cog railway on their layout? There was one on a Marklin layout in Allied Model Trains in Los Angeles about 20 years ago. Looked great. Scale? Brand? Dependability?

Bemo (Germany) also makes cog wheel products in HOm gauge. You can search for pictures and videos with Bemo Zahnradbahn or Bemo Zahnstange.

Bought a couple of bits from my favourite LGB dealer and he popped into the bag a flyer for a forthcoming model 26270- a cog steamer Thought it looked very nice and very reasonable at under £400 almost ordered one on the spot. Got home and read it properly maybe I had misread a nought on the price.

It is very nice though.

I would think that LGB would look rather funny running on a Maerklin layout.

Bemo's Zentralbahn/Bruenig Bahn and Furka Oberalp/MGB models have functional cog.
One acquaintance used to have an extended Brawa funicular railroad at one corner of his layout, which was not cog, but still prototypical and cool.

Hello,

The price is 3.599,99€ and 400 units will be manufactured, as you can read in the link.

I'll be adding a short run of a cog rail on my layout by using the Zeitgeist Models bavarian Zugspitzbahn model that will be shipping at some point before Christmas.

"Full compatible to the BEMO rack track and the ZEITGEIST Riggenbach rack track system. "

Reynaulds sent out an e-mail yesterday regarding the new HobbyTrain exclusive HOm & HOe Bavarian "Zugspitze" Rack & Pinion passenger train set.

The tallok isn’t cog driven, it’s the portion in The Valley that Leads up to the point the cog locomotive takes over.
