Hi Glenn

Very nice photos. Did Nigel's service crew forget to remove the dust which good photos shows in clear detail?

Thanks Ross glad you liked them, and I hope you are well.

Yes dust is a huge pain in the behind when doing close up photographs, as are hairs, lint and the occasional spider. But the worst is small bits of polystyrene, as these should often be noticed prior to taking any pictures but can all too often be overlooked Cursing Cursing Cursing In these cases I always blame the excitement of the photography over the attention to detail BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

Of course Photoshop can correct many errors if you are prepared to put the time and effort in, but often it is easier to simply wait and take another photo another time. My pet hate is getting the colours right (or as right as possible), especially when using multiple different light sources of different types (such as LED and fluorescent) or daylight and any light source, they can also cause shiny surfaces which can spoil the end result.

But you have to love a challenge ThumpUp ThumpUp

Hi Glen,

I have the same problem with dust and as you say your in the grove taking photos and don't see the bigger picture (dust).
Many times I have had to retake the photos because of dust, tools, Preiser people laying around, rolling stock on the layout but not placed on the tracks and any other object that isn't required in the photo.

I still enjoy your photos.

To be honest Ross the worst one, and it is unforgivable but has happened a few times in the excitement is the loco is not actually sitting on the rails correctly Blushing Blushing Blushing Blushing

Thanks and I am glad you enjoy them. If I get another invite I will try to post some more in due course

Best Regards
