I've been planning a yard to park my trains and wagons on a second level and am thinking of using a control panel for the turnout and I want to be able to see in which direction a turnout is switched (it's kind of hard to see the further away turnouts) by lighting up a led for straight (white) and turned (red).
The Marklin 8562 and 8559 uses 3 cables, pf which the 2 blues are for switching. And 1 for the power.
I would like to use a switch (dpdt?).
Any thoughts how to make this happen? A wiring diagram would be fantastic.
Don't forget I am NO expert when it comes to wiring so please keep it in layman's terms.............
