The Nuremberg folder and 2 other brochures focused SBB EuroCity coaches and RBE 4/4 (540) electric rail cars available for download from https://www.trainsdepot.org/manufacturers_pdfs.phpWell, the Swiss items are "old" news: already announced last year and we only get some new design images... and with the Piko version already out and other versions to come in 2019, LS Models will probably wait a little bit before actually delivering anything...

The RBE 540 is exhausting. I've been staring at it for years and years now. And the irony is I"d probably buy it.. (the piko is pricey and CH market only for the NPZ livery I want) |

I went for the Piko RBe 540 (NPZ). I decided to wait for the LSM for the RBe 4/4 in green. I will probably buy the prototype RBe 4/4 1401-1406 (1970s) and the maybe the regular model with red front. As there was only limited items from other brands that piqued my interest, I might be able to spring for the RBe 540 too. LSM announced the pilot coaches in 2017, but I don't expect to see them in the near future, especially as there is no mention in the 2019 New Items flyer. In the meantime, I can run the Piko consist. The Piko model is nice, but I expect the LSM to be nicer. More LSM info here: RBe 4/4 (540): http://www.eyro.ch/downl...9/lsm_info_sbb_rbe44.pdfEurocity: http://www.eyro.ch/downl...sm_info_sbb_eurocity.pdfI hope that LSM also takes into account the changes to the WC windows on the EC coaches and does a better job than Maerklin and Roco did with it. Very interesting! Set MW 1001 Nord Express. Who knows when it might appear or how it will be priced? No one at LS models answers any emails. I’m very disgruntled. Bahnhof fan Edited by user 15 February 2020 00:52:53(UTC)

ModelsWorld (models-world.eu) is a division (subsidiary) of LS Models dedicated to the marketing of specific train consists as sets. The models are either marketed through regular LSM dealers or in some cases are marketed specifically for one or several of the national distributors of LSM, whether it be Lemke (Germany), KML (Switzerland), Memoba (Austria), PiRATA (Italy), etc.
In some cases, these sets may be only available through that particular distributor. In others, the majority might be reserved for that distributor but a quantity is made available for other markets. In yet other cases, the sets are marketed directly by the distributor and are not even listed as Models World product, such as the NightJet sets for Memoba, the EC and NightJet sets for PiRATA. The IC Bavaria set was a joint effort between Lemke and KML. I think that the IC Iris (1604) was a joint project between KML and MW. The latest EC Iris set is a project for PiRATA and one more EC Iris set (SBB Coaches) will be coming from MW/LSM (maybe with KML).
The sets which are made by MW can be found at the models-world.eu site. Others can be found at various dealer and distributor websites.
Make sure that you get the website right for MW as you might otherwise encounter porn... You can always follow the MW link on the LS Models website.

6/25/19 Just a note to add: It's been several months now. LS has yet to set a price for the set or an estimated time for delivery. What's worse is that tehy don't like to communicate.

There are dealers like Huenerbein (huenerbein.de), Memoba (memoba.at), Eyro (eyro.ch) and others who routinely post updates when received from manufacturers. Huenerbein seems to be the best as far as LSM is concerned. It seems that ModelsWorld and LSM follow a policy of announcing potential models and then putting the ones that have the greatest demand into priority production, so models often do not come out the same year as they are announced. I guess that this is partly because the company has booked production slots at it's production partners in China and must allocate those production slots by priority. What is interesting is that I could not find a mention of MW1001 on the models-world.eu site. Have you signed up for the lsmodels.com newsletter? The archive can be found here: https://www.lsmodels.com...fr/newsletters/archives2Models-World is set up to market models not by coach/car but by consist. Some models, which were commissioned for distributors, dealers or by other companies, have been produced under the Models-World label. This includes product made for Lemke, KML-Log (CH), Memoba (AT), PiRATA (IT). Under Lemke, there have been a number of items manufactured for and marketed under the Hobbytrain label, including the Munich-Berlin D308, the Hannover Messezug and the CIWL Vienna-Nice and Simplon Express sets. Additionally, there were other CIWL sets announced for PiRATA, namely the Calais-Istanbul and Paris-Trieste Orient Express https://pierredominique....50_21948_pirata_ciwl.JPGWaiting for release of these models gives you the time to save up the money to pay for them. I am waiting for the Zurich-Vienna Nightjet and the Cisalpino SBB coach sets at this moment, in addition to the SBB RBe 4/4 (540). Regards Mike C

Huenerbein are very well informed on LS Models. Being based in Aachen, Kurt frequently pops over the border to see what's in development at LS in Belgium. Whenever I visit the shop, it is full of model railway fans from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the odd Brit. English, Dutch, French and German all spoken and very nice people to do business with. I can't recommend Huenerbein: Kurt, his son Michael, and their staff, highly enough. They have been my main suppliers for around 30 years now. Aachen is 3.5 hours from the Channel ports and all roads from UK to Germany pass through Aachen. I can also recommend the Aachen Christmas Market if you need an excuse to visit, then do the Koln / Cologne one by train from Aachen.

TEE Rheingold 1983 coaches were announced around 2011 I had seen photos of the first prototypes of the Rheingold coaches. My understanding was that this was higher on the priority list than the simultaneously announced IC Tiziano Sets. I think that the priority ranking of German models since 2011 was affected by the assumption of Lemke as distributor in Germany and other models seem to have been given higher priority. It remains to see if these sets will come out as LSM Models or may be shifted to MW models. Your best option to see this model might be to make requests to Lemke. LSM would still need to develop final prototypes and molds of the coach types. Regards Mike C

What’s going on with LS Models? They haven’t produced production lists on line for over 2 months! There is no mention of the MW1001 Nord Express, even on the MW link.
