Hi, I'm off to the mint today and with me is my favorite loco: Br 44, as it is all metal I'm intending to change this loco into a golden age loco by dipping it in a gold bath at the local mint.

regards.,

John

John, today is the 1st of April. But of course, it has nothing to do while you are changing your BR 44 into golden Eagles. Love Laugh

Happy April 1st, when you run your locomotive on your layout you can see your money run by (and not collecting interest).

You could do it at home, crank up the oven, melt down the family jewels and plate it yourself?

Or... even better, why not melt down your Platinum Croc, you could dip several from that?

Not a bad idea though. Here in the UK our Royal Mint is going to produce a coin with a Hornby train on one side when the company celebrates its 100 years in business. People in the UK can vote for the type of loco to be used.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.
