I am in a quandary. What do the wiring symbols mean on a Marklin Digital layout? I cannot find a legend of what each color triangle, etc. means. I know some are supposedly insulators and some are digital wiring, but I do not know which is which. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Red triangles are center conductor insulation points.

Do you have an image that you can provide a link to or include here? I don't know what a general "Marklin wiring plan" looks like, and the devil is in the details.

Have a look here. There are a short diagramm inside of wiring symbols and explantions. Also the Märklin colours are explained.

https://www.maerklin.de/.../MM_Verkabelung_2013.pdf

Even it is in German, but I think it is understandable by the pictures itself. Sometimes Märklin is adding explanations for wiring symbols underneath track plans. But they do nor do it always.

W = Weiche = turnout
HS1 = Haupt-Signal 1 (correctly written "Hauptsignal") it is a main signal where you see here only a semaphore one. The color light signal symbol is missing, but if you see it somewhere it is self explaining.

Here are an overview of all Märklin signals.

https://www.maerklin.de/...x210_8seitig_1222_DE.pdf

If you want to know more about signals please let me know. Märklin is using at the CS 3 in the configuration menue for signals in layouts no article numbers. They use the offfical names of the signals. because the CS 3 is used for Trix and LGB as well and there the signals have different art #, but always the same offically in real life used names. So for installing these signals in your layout yoou have to know these names. They were published by Märklin in its article series about signals.
