Hi,

I would like to get started with some light weathering, maybe powder to begin with. If it goes wrong, is there anyway to go back or is loco/wagon just ruined?

Thanks

Hi,
Certainly with powder you can brush most of it off.
And then use water to clean any residue.

Weathering is one of those things with which you have to experiment.
Start with something that does not represent a huge investment, or has little value for you, as a trial.
That will give you confidence - or not.

You can use water paints to weather trains - very easy to reverse any effects you don't like.

Made a start myself over the weekend, a bit spotty and the next layer needs to be a bit for rusty/brown I think. First time at using an airbrush and had some "help" from my sons, but thought the process of getting them involved was more important than the actual outcome...
